Yes! Every bracelet is handmade in New York with care, following the centuries-old Bulgarian tradition of Baba Marta. No machines, no mass production - just yarn, hooks, and a lot of love.

The only exception are the bracelets marked as “Imported from Bulgaria”. These are sourced directly from artisans in Bulgaria to bring you authentic styles from the tradition’s birthplace. All martenitsas are shipped from the U.S.

Our bracelets are made from high-quality yarn and thread, but they are designed to be seasonal wearables. Martenitsa bracelets traditionally stay on until you spot the first signs of spring (like a stork or blooming tree), then you tie them to a branch for good luck. Over time, natural wear is normal - it’s part of their charm.

You could. However, we recommend removing your bracelet before showering, swimming, or exercising. Because they are made of yarn and thread, water and friction may cause them to wear out faster.

Our crochet accessories are made with various types of yarn, which is not water-resistant. While a little moisture will not damage them right away, we recommend keeping them dry to maintain their shape, color, and overall quality. Please avoid wearing them in the shower, pool, or during heavy rain.

Crochet earrings can absorb makeup like foundation or powder if they come into direct contact. To keep them looking their best, we recommend putting on your earrings after applying makeup and avoiding contact with creams or oils. If staining occurs, gently spot clean by patting with a damp cloth and mild soap. For tougher stains, a small amount of rubbing alcohol may be used. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing, as this may damage the stitches.
