Celebrating Halloween With Our Crochet Family Tradition
Halloween is not a traditional Bulgarian holiday, but since moving to the United States our family has enjoyed embracing the local celebrations. My daughter, who was born here, absolutely loves the season — pumpkins, costumes, and everything a little bit spooky. Naturally, our crochet finds its way into this holidays too.
I first learned to crochet from my mother and grandmother when I was kid. They taught me stitches that connected me not only to them but also to our culture. The Martenitsa tradition is at the heart of what I create here, and every spring our home fills with red and white threads and decor. Crochet for me is not just about making jewelry or decor, it is about weaving memories and keeping traditions alive.
That is why it felt so natural to create this Halloween seasonal collection - it is a way to keep my family tradition, but also celebrate the place where my daughter is growing up. This Halloween collection came together with lots of laughter — especially when we played around with mini crochet pumpkins. My daughter loved them, and so did our cat (who claimed one as a toy right away).

Why We Create Halloween Crochet
